Embrace the Beauty of Fall Hiking! 🍂

It’s a refreshing and beautiful season for hiking! Our club has actively engaged students, despite their busy schedules, in efforts to remove invasive plants and clean our local trails. Recently, we enjoyed a visit to the picturesque Scott Run Trail, where charming waterfalls and streams flow. As part of a school project, I also revisited Potomac Park with friends.

During our monthly meetings, we share ideas on new initiatives each chapter is undertaking to benefit the local environment, discussing how we can expand and enhance these efforts while addressing pressing environmental issues in our community.

With the school year underway, we’ve seen an increase in participation in the Hiking Heroes Trash Pickup Challenge from local students. As academic stress begins to rise and temperatures drop, remember that beautiful hiking trails are just around the corner. I encourage you to take a moment on weekends to step away from your responsibilities and savor the remaining lovely autumn days.
